Job summary

GM2 Associates, Inc. seeks a Project Engineer to join the CLE team focused on bridge improvement projects for CT DOT.

The role involves coordinating with GM2 technical professionals across structural, traffic, and environmental disciplines, and managing project design, schedules, and budgets under CTDOT standards. Qualified candidates have 5+ years in bridge design/construction and a PE or EIT with OSHA-10.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related degree from an accredited program.
• Experience in bridge design or bridge construction projects (5+ years).
• Licenses & Certifications - PE license preferred, EIT certification minimum, OSHA-10.
• Proficiency with CTDOT/project delivery processes and related software.

Responsibilities

• Assist in oversight of project development, including scope, schedule and cost.
• Act as liaison project engineer for several projects simultaneously.
• Prepare reports and cost estimates for alternative structural concepts.
• Perform technical analyses and resolve issues.
• Coordinate with internal teams and CTDOT personnel.
• Review design submissions by consultants and vendors.
• Oversee plans, specifications and estimates per CTDOT standards.
• Prepare written documents and correspondence.
• Present projects to CTDOT, municipalities and stakeholders.
• Conduct site visits across CT.
