Job summary

GPAC is seeking a Bridge Project Manager to join an established transportation and structural engineering practice. You will lead bridge replacement and rehabilitation projects, collaborate with experienced engineers, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering.
• 4+ years of bridge/transportation engineering experience.
• PE license or ability to obtain within approximately six months.
• Experience with bridge design, rehabilitation and/or replacement projects.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to communicate with clients, engineers, designers and stakeholders.
• Willingness to participate in bridge inspections and field evaluations.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with the engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Manage and contribute to bridge replacement and rehabilitation projects of varying size and complexity.
• Establish project scope, schedules, budgets and delivery strategies.
• Take ownership of multiple projects while coordinating priorities and deadlines.
• Review engineering calculations, drawings and construction documents.
• Coordinate project activities across engineering disciplines and outside consultants.
• Work directly with public-sector clients to understand project needs and develop engineering recommendations.
• Participate in proposal development and help pursue future transportation projects.
• Perform field evaluations of existing bridge structures and develop rehabilitation, repair or replacement recommendations.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to younger engineers and CAD/design professionals.
• Build the project-management and client-development experience for advancement.
