Job summary

The role requires a degree in engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience (or higher degrees with fewer years), PE certification preferred, and experience with major bridge
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 6 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 5 years, or PhD with 4 years of relevant experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred
- Experience with MDOT bridge and structure design and listed software is preferred
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Responsibilities
- Plan and distribute discipline-specific work while adhering to project schedules and budgets
- Assist with marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation
- Assist with developing project scopes of work and levels of effort
- Oversee completeness and accuracy of project team work within the technical discipline
- Guide and mentor the project team toward overall objectives
- Coordinate technical project aspects with clients and teaming partners
- Collaborate with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects
- Produce and modify design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans, and specifications
- Perform research, development, calculations, design, and project delivery
- Develop conceptual and detailed designs using current drawing and technical tools, programs, and software
- Mentor, train, and review junior engineering staff
- Perform other duties as assigned
