Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Civil Engineering; Structural emphasis is helpful.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification is required.
• 7-10 years of structural engineering experience with an emphasis on bridge design.
• Experience with project management and accounting software is beneficial.
• Exceptional organization skills and strong written/verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform as a project engineer and/or project manager on DOT and local agency bridge design projects.
• Lead preparation of complete design and construction documents for bridge projects.
• Plan and coordinate aspects of engineering work.
• Provide bridge inspection services.
• Assist management and staff as a technical specialist or advisor.
• Prepare scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
• Assist with proposals and funding applications.
