Job summary

Modjeski and Masters seeks a Senior Structural Bridge Design Engineer in St. Louis, MO to lead complex bridge design and rehabilitation projects. The role requires 10+ years of experience, a PE license, and strong leadership to mentor engineers and drive project success.

You will coordinate with clients, subconsultants, and multidisciplinary teams, perform analyses, prepare design reports, and contribute to business development while supporting a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive bridge design experience in transportation.
• ABET-accredited BS in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience delivering bridge design projects for IDOT or MoDOT.
• Proficient with LUSAS, RISA-3D, LEAP Bridge, OpenBridge Designer, AutoCAD and MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead for design, analysis, and rehabilitation of highway, railroad, and pedestrian bridges.
• Oversee structural analyses and bridge design calculations for new and existing structures.
• Lead project teams in preparing design plans, reports, and cost estimates.
• Review and approve structural calculations and drawings produced by staff.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and coordinate with clients and subconsultants.
• Participate in business development, including proposals and client presentations.
