Job summary

Hoyle Tanner & Associates, Inc. seeks a Bridge Project Engineer in Burlington, VT with 5+ years of structural bridge design experience. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate with clients to meet expectations.

Qualifications

BS (MS preferred) degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
5–10 years of relevant experience.
Current PE in NH, MA, ME or VT.
Experience with MaineDOT, NHDOT, VTrans or MassDOT and municipal bridge projects.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microstation and bridge analysis software.

Responsibilities

Be a primary role in an integrated, multi-disciplined team on large projects.
Develop budgets, scope of services, schedules and update the Project Manager.
Lead a small team for moderately complex projects.
Provide coaching and mentoring to staff engineers and peers.
Conduct site visits and lead client/contractor meetings.
Demonstrate strong technical writing and presentation skills.
