Job summary

Hoyle Tanner is seeking a Bridge Project Engineer in our Transportation Division in Chelmsford, MA. You will lead a multi-disciplined team, manage budgets and schedules, and mentor staff while delivering high-quality bridge design work.

The role requires 5–10 years of experience, a BS in Civil/Structural Engineering (MS preferred), and a PE in NH/MA/ME/VT. Flexible schedule and remote work opportunities are available, with a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• BS (MS preferred) in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience.
• Current PE in NH, MA, ME, or VT.
• Experience with MaineDOT, NHDOT, VTrans or MassDOT and municipal bridge projects.
• Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bridge Analysis Programs, MathCad, BlueBeam.
• Salary is contingent on experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team for moderately complex bridge projects.
• Conduct site visits and client meetings.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to engineers.
• Assist in proposals and development.
• Develop person-hour estimates and budgets.
• Support project manager in schedule and budget.
