This role involves producing and modifying design calculations, technical reports, and engineering plans and specifications for assigned projects. You will collaborate with the project manager to conduct research, develop designs, perform calculations, and ensure timely project delivery. Applying engineering techniques and design criteria, you will address design issues, work closely with clients, and contribute to project success. You may also mentor junior staff and review their work.

What You'll Do:

• Plan and distribute discipline-specific work while managing schedule and budget.
• Assist in marketing efforts, including proposal development.
• Develop scope of work and effort estimates for projects within your discipline.
• Ensure the completeness and accuracy of the team’s work, providing guidance and mentorship.
• Coordinate technical aspects with clients and partners.
• Collaborate with other disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 6 years of relevant experience, or
• Master’s degree in Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience, or
• PhD in Engineering with 4 years of relevant experience.

What You'll Bring:

• Experience leading bridge, retaining wall, and other structural designs on transportation projects, especially in the New Jersey office.
• Ability to develop project design criteria, calculations, details, quantities, and cost estimates.
• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing design drawings and specifications.
• Experience with cost and quality control within your discipline.
• Problem-solving skills to address design and field challenges and coordinate schedules.
• Ability to lead design teams to ensure comprehensive and accurate design efforts.

What We Prefer:

• Experience in designing transportation structures such as bridges.
• Strong knowledge of AASHTO LRFD and AASHTO Seismic Guide Specifications.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
