Job summary

DC Government’s District Department of Transportation (DDOT) seeks a Program Manager for the Bridge Program within IPMA to oversee multi-million-dollar bridge projects, asset management, preventive maintenance, and development studies.

The role leads a multidisciplinary team of civil and structural engineers, provides expert guidance, ensures design conformity to District and federal standards, and drives program operations on complex bridge initiatives.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required or equivalent combination with strong math/engineering theory.
• Specialized experience in project delivery for bridge mega-projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required; DC license within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve design policies and procedures for DDOT bridge programs.
• Monitor IPMTs and ensure compliance with standards.
• Provide technical guidance on design and construction schedules for bridge projects.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians.
