Qualifications

• One year of experience performing basic highway maintenance work.
• Two years of general landscaping, maintenance, mechanical, farming, logging, and/or construction experience or training.
• CDL-A required with tanker endorsement within 30 days of hire.
• May need to travel and stay out of town for overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy and light equipment to maintain, repair, reconstruct bridges, culverts and structures.
• Construct and place rigging and scaffolding; perform concrete, masonry, steel, woodwork, and paint work.
• Inspect structures for repairs and assist with weather-related emergencies and de-icing.
• Clear debris, mow grass, and maintain drainage systems; respond to emergency calls.
