Oregon Department of Transportation in Southwest Portland seeks a Highway Maintenance Specialist to operate equipment and perform maintenance on roadways, bridges and structures. You will assist with weather-related emergencies, snow removal and minor surface repairs, while supporting drainage, vegetation and guardrail maintenance.

This role requires the ability to work in varied weather, lift up to 60 pounds, and may require after-hours response for emergency calls.

Formación

• Experience in road maintenance, construction or a maintenance training program.
• Light and heavy equipment experience.
• Current CDL-A preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Operate a variety of equipment to maintain and repair roadways, bridges and structures.
• Assist with weather-related emergencies and snow removal.
• Perform minor surface repairs, pothole patches and inlay work.
• Maintain drainage systems, fences, guardrails and milepost markers.
• Support maintenance of vegetation, ditches and culverts.
