• Operates power-driven drawbridges, ensuring safe operation per Coast Guard regulations and DOTD policies.
• Trains lower-level Bridge and Lock Operators in operation of the bridges and related duties.
• Prepares bridge logs and documents bridge openings/closings in response to marine vessel signals.
• Lubricates operating machinery and checks fluids; performs routine maintenance on emergency generators.
• Collects information and prepares reports documenting marine and vehicular collisions and damages.
