Qualifications

• Two years of general construction or maintenance experience related to carpentry, concrete, or structural maintenance.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools including saws, drills, jackhammers, and grinders.
• Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints or diagrams.
• Strong communication with trades personnel, supervisors, inspectors, and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Assist Bridge Carpenter Maintenance Leads with repairing, installing, and maintaining bridge components and guardrails.
• Perform basic carpentry tasks such as cutting, fastening, and assembling materials.
• Support Senior Cement Finishers with concrete work and formwork.
• Build simple formwork for sidewalks and bridge approaches.
• Install and maintain field fixtures like bollards, signs, and benches.
• Perform minor repairs and tool maintenance on equipment.
• Read basic plans and coordinate with tradespersons to ensure safe workflow.
• Prepare records including equipment logs and weekly reports.
