Job summary

Ardmore Roderick is seeking a Bridge Inspector - Team Leader to join our tollway corridor project in Lisle, IL. You will lead inspection teams and perform structural inspections in accordance with ISTHA, IDOT, and AASHTO standards, coordinating with field staff and using cloud-based asset management tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited U.S. institution.
• IDOT approved Team Leader or Program Manager.
• FHWA-approved training such as NHI 130055 or 130056.
• Basic understanding of structural engineering principles.
• 5+ years of experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Familiarity with tablet-based project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead inspection teams providing technical and structural inspection services according to ISTHA, IDOT, and AASHTO standards.
• Oversee structural inspection of Illinois Tollway assets including bridges, retaining walls, noise walls, sightscreen walls, and overhead sign structures.
• Assist in developing basic repair scopes and learning to use the Illinois Tollway’s Asset Management System software.
