Job summary

TYLin is seeking an Assistant Bridge Inspector to join our Bridge Sector. This role supports inspection teams, prepares reports, conducts load ratings, and develops MOT plans in a hybrid field/office environment.

Opportunities to grow toward leadership in the Bridge Inspection Team. Ideal candidates hold an Associate or Bachelor degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, with 0–5 years of bridge inspection experience; a Master’s degree is preferred and EIT or SPRAT certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with 0–5 years in bridge inspections or equivalent.
• Possibly Master’s degree preferred; Engineer-In-Training desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT routine and complex bridge inspections including NSTM/FC
• Assist and progress to lead inspection teams
• Perform engineering calculations and load ratings for bridges
• Review engineering plans and details
• Prepare quantities and project documentation (PS&E)
• Support project monitoring, scheduling and progress reporting
• Collaborate with Bridge Design Team on calculations and detailing
