Job summary

Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering, LLC (ICE) is a full-service transportation design and consulting firm seeking a Bridge Inspector to monitor contractor work, ensure quality conformance, and support safety standards on diverse projects across the U.S. The role requires reading plans, conducting inspections, and maintaining detailed records.

Candidates should have a HS diploma or GED, 3–5 years of LA DOTD QC/Inspection experience, and proficiency with MS Office; valid certifications such

Qualifications

• Must have above average geometry and basic math calculation skills.
• MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Good interpersonal communication skills, commitment to deadlines, and positive team attitude.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monitoring, testing, and conformance of client/contractor work to ensure plans, specs, materials, and safety standards are met.
• Ensure materials, procedures, and safety rules comply with LADOTD standards.
• Run weekly construction meetings and generate minutes.
• Maintain project files and shop drawings.
• Generate daily reports and project photographs.
• Document and report non-compliance actions and safety violations.
• Maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and business partners.
• Record daily construction inspection notes for CEI document management.
• Read and understand plans and specifications.
