Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Bridge Inspection Assistant Team Leader to join the Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team in Pennsylvania. This role offers a path toward Team Leadership, with field and office responsibilities across bridge, tunnel, and ancillary inspections.

You will perform professional structural engineering work, assist with load ratings, and contribute to project plans using AutoCAD or MicroStation. Growth toward leadership and ongoing training are highlighted in this opportunity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• NCBI certification through FHWA-approved bridge inspection training (or PennDOT) must be current.
• CBSI certification through PennDOT must be current.
• 1–3 years of bridge/inspection/design experience or related work.
• Engineer in Training Certification is required.
• Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and design/build processes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team on inspection projects.
• Assist as Assistant Team Leader on bridge, tunnel, and ancillary inspections.
• Perform professional structural engineering work and inspections.
• Assist in preparation of bridge and tunnel load ratings.
• Develop plans/sketches using AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• Provide guidance and training to entry-level engineers.
• Support cost proposals and scope of work documents.
