Job summary

Clark Nexsen seeks a Bridge Inspection Team Leader to guide inspection teams, perform NBIS-compliant assessments, and prepare detailed reports. You’ll coordinate with design engineers, manage budgets, and ensure safe, on-time project delivery across engagements with diverse clients.

The role combines field inspection leadership with engineering design oversight, requiring strong communication, safety focus, and a track record in bridge safety programs. Hybrid work is available.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Civil Eng (structural) or Civil/Environment Eng (structural) or CE Technology (structural)
• Experience working with local clients at county/state level
• NHI bridge inspection courses or equivalent
• Proficiency with MS Office and design/production software

Responsibilities

• Support Project Manager by executing discipline PM tasks and developing hours estimates
• Provide design status updates to the Project Manager
• Track budgets of discipline tasks
• Oversee sub-tasks within discipline for a project
• Execute QC/QA plans per PMP guidance
• Delegate tasks to project team members
• Coach/mentor design staff through process
• Attend client meetings and provide timely updates/solutions
• Collaborate with sub-consultants and internal disciplines
• Develop extra work orders and open-end task proposals
• Perform alternative studies and final reports for client
• Plan and schedule detailed phases of engineering work
• Design projects using advanced discipline knowledge and client specs
• Prepare contract plans, specs and estimates
• Coordinate with internal teams to meet deadlines and quality
