The duties include assisting with onsite inspections, data entry, and report preparation while coordinating with roadway, environmental, survey, and utility engineers. You may advance to leading inspections in time.

Qualifications

• PE or EIT certification required.
• Knowledge of INDOT bridge inspection guidelines is a strong plus.
• Ability to safely traverse uneven terrain.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willing to travel for bridge inspections (day and overnight trips).
• Willingness to eventually become Indiana Bridge Inspection Team Leader.

Responsibilities

• Assist with onsite bridge inspections, data entry, and bridge inspection reports.
• Manage bridge inspection equipment, schedule bridge inspection personnel etc.
• Eventually lead onsite bridge inspections.
• Work and coordinate with roadway, water, environmental, survey, and utility engineers.
