Job summary

The State of Indiana’s INDOT Central Office in Indianapolis seeks an experienced Bridge Inspection Area Engineer to oversee three district teams, ensuring safety and compliance with FHWA standards. The role requires a PE license and the ability to travel statewide.

Qualifications

• Registered Professional Engineers license in Indiana required.
• Must possess a valid Indiana driver’s license.
• Broad knowledge of civil/transportation disciplines and inspection standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations for three district bridge inspection teams.
• Supervise various bridge inspections to ensure quality and FHWA compliance.
• Assist in developing statewide bridge inspection policies and procedures.
• Conduct annual QC/QA reviews on bridges to ensure standards.
