Job summary

French & Parrello Associates is seeking an experienced Transportation Engineering Project Manager to lead highway and bridge projects from our Wall Township headquarters in NJ. You will manage design, schedules, budgets, and client relations with state and local agencies.

This role combines technical leadership with business development, mentoring teams, and delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions across New Jersey, while advancing the firm’s transportation practice and client

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• PE license required; NJ preferred or reciprocity.
• 8+ years of transportation/bridge design experience.
• Experience with NJDOT bridge design standards and AASHTO.
• Experience with design software such as LEAP Bridge, LARSA, MIDAS, CSiBridge, STAAD.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage transportation projects from concept through construction support.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams of bridge, roadway, traffic, geotechnical, environmental, and water resources professionals.
• Serve as primary client contact with NJDOT, counties, municipalities, and agencies.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client expectations.
• Oversee development of plans, specs, estimates, and reports.
• Coordinate design efforts and provide technical guidance on structural solutions.
• Ensure compliance with AASHTO and NJDOT standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
• Support proposals, client presentations, and growth initiatives.
• Perform site visits, inspections, and structural assessments.
