Job summary

French & Parrello Associates (FPA) in Wall Township, NJ, is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Bridge Department. You will support bridge design, rehabilitation, and transportation improvements across New Jersey, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams from preliminary design through construction.

You will gain exposure to all project phases, receive mentorship, and have opportunities for long‑term growth within a dynamic, employee‑owned engineering firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required; Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
• 5 to 8 years of progressive experience in bridge design and structural engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience with bridge analysis and design software such as LEAP Bridge, LARSA, MIDAS, CSiBridge, STAAD, or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for bridge and transportation-related structures, including new construction, rehabilitation, and replacement projects.
• Prepare engineering calculations, design plans, technical reports, specifications, and other project documentation.
• Develop structural models and perform analysis using bridge design software such as LEAP Bridge, LARSA, MIDAS, CSiBridge, STAAD, or similar programs.
• Assist with bridge load rating analyses and structural evaluations.
• Support project delivery efforts by coordinating design activities, tracking project requirements, and assisting with schedules and deliverables.
