Job summary

Kokosing Construction seeks a Civil/Construction Engineer with 3+ years of experience in bridge and highway projects to plan, design, and review temporary construction schemes. The role requires collaboration with operations and estimating, managing submittals, and ensuring compliance with safety and owner specifications.

The successful candidate will coordinate with project teams, attend meetings, and help resolve issues to uphold Kokosing Construction's standards of quality and performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in design and construction engineering roles involving bridge/highway projects and temporary works (shoring, erection, demolition).
• PE license in OH or WV or ability to obtain.
• BS in Civil Engineering preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office and AutoCAD.
• Excellent communication and coordination with estimating and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and review temporary construction engineering schemes (bridge erection, demolition, shoring, falsework).
• Collaborate with operations to develop means, methods, and construction plans.
• Coordinate project schedules and manage submittal timelines with stakeholders.
• Ensure plans meet safety requirements and owner specifications.
• Manage third-party reviews and complete construction engineering submittals.
• Review documents with estimating to develop pre-bid means and methods.
• Represent Kokosing Construction in client and project management meetings.
• Interface with project team to resolve issues and ensure construction quality.
