Job summary

Kokosing, Inc. is seeking an on-site Construction Project Engineer to plan, develop, coordinate, and manage heavy highway and bridge construction activities with the team in Columbus, OH.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and at least 4 years of construction engineering experience, with bridge work considered a strong plus. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential to guide diverse disciplines on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum 4 years of construction engineering experience.
• Bridge experience is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate, and manage on-site construction engineering activities.
• Lead project engineering and personnel planning, assignments, and disciplinary actions.
• Ensure compliance with company/contract requirements and support schedule (Primavera P6).
• Provide technical support for planning, design interpretation, and construction methods.
• Develop and administer project engineering procedures, submittals, RFIs, and pay requests.
• Represent project during meetings with A/E, clients, and management.
• Interface on-site departments to resolve problems and ensure quality.
• Oversee pre-construction, design-build services, and business development.
• Perform additional assignments as directed.
