WSP is seeking a Full-Time Structures Inspector for our San Bernardino, California office. You will perform bridge and highway structure inspections and provide construction management services in accordance with Caltrans manuals and standards.

Key tasks include inspecting structures to ensure compliance, reviewing submittals, making calculations, and assisting in contract change orders and reports. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of relevant experience and a background in public works

Formación

• Minimum 5 years of post-education experience in structural construction inspection related to Caltrans or major public works.
• Knowledge of stress analysis, structural mechanics, and strength of materials.
• Thorough understanding of Cal-OSHA practices and procedures.
• Knowledge of construction practices and highway bridge materials including concrete.
• Ability to work independently and solve field and office problems.
• Experience with pile driving, concrete deck construction, falsework and shoring.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect bridges and highway structures to ensure compliance with contract plans and specs.
• Review falsework, shoring, demolition plans and concrete mix designs.
• Make grade, alignment, quantity, falsework and shoring calculations.
• Assist in contract change orders, RFIs and project estimates.
• Sample and test construction materials to monitor QA/QC.
