Job summary

The Recruiting Hive is hiring for a Project Superintendent to lead field operations on a major bridge and highway design-build in the North Tampa Bay / Hernando County area, FL. This full-time onsite role requires strong bridge and heavy civil supervision experience and the ability to manage foremen, subcontractors, safety, and production targets.

You will work with the project manager and engineers, coordinate with FDOT inspectors and the owner's team, and maintain field reports and cost

Qualifications

• 5 to 7+ years of bridge experience on heavy highway and bridge construction.
• Experience as a superintendent on a bridge or interchange project.
• Working knowledge of FDOT contracts, specs and reporting.
• OSHA Competent Person certification or equivalent.
• Clean driving record and ability to relocate to the Tampa Bay/Central Florida area.

Responsibilities

• Run daily field operations on bridge and highway work.
• Schedule foremen, crews and subcontractors.
• Set production goals and monitor progress against plan.
• Plan work with project manager and engineers.
• Own site safety and enforce OSHA standards.
• Coordinate with FDOT inspectors and owner's team.
• Track quantities, production and field costs against budget.
• Maintain daily reports and field documentation.
• Coordinate material, equipment and deliveries.
