Job summary

AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Bridge Engineer in Providence, RI. You will act as the lead structural engineer on projects, review designs, and provide input on transportation bridge work for vehicle and rail systems.

Responsibilities include load rating analyses, design of bridges with various materials, and preparation of technical reports. Telecommuting is permitted 2-4 days per week; PE license within six months of hire is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
• 3+ years of experience as a Bridge Engineer, Structural Engineer, or Civil Engineer.
• Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead structural engineer on projects, reviewing designs and plans.
• Provide specialized input on transportation projects, especially bridges for vehicle and rail.
• Perform load rating analyses for highway and rail bridges to meet regulatory and safety standards.
• Design new bridges using pre-stressed concrete, reinforced concrete, structural steel, and timber.
