Job summary

HDR, Inc. in Minnesota is seeking a Bridge EIT/Coordinator to apply structural engineering and detailing techniques in the development of bridge designs, including steel plate girder, prestressed concrete, segmental and cable bridges, box culverts, and interchange work.

You will perform load calculations, assist with geometry, and develop quantities; use software such as LEAP, FB-MultiPier, LPile, RM Bridge, and more to create detailed designs and inspections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Familiarity with engineering software packages listed (LEAP Bridge Enterprise, FB-MultiPier, LPile, AASHTOWare BrR, midas Civil, CSiBridge, RM Bridge, spColumn, STLBridgeLRFD, STLBridge).
• Bentley OpenBridge Modeler and/or Autodesk InfraWorks and Civil3D knowledge.
• Strong computer skills for structural layout and design.
• Good communication and teamwork mindset.
• Active participant in employee-owned culture.
• Experience in bridge/structural design.

Responsibilities

• Apply structural engineering and detailing techniques in the development of bridge designs.
• Work on projects including bridges, box culverts, and interchanges.
• Perform structural load calculations and assist with layout and quantity development.
• Develop structural details using specialized software.
• Participate in bridge inspection and related calculations.
• Perform other duties as needed.
