Job summary

HDR is seeking a Bridge EIT/Coordinator to apply structural engineering and detailing techniques in the development of bridge designs. You will work on projects that include steel plate girder and prestress concrete bridges, box culverts, and interchange design for highway and railway developments.

You will perform load calculations, assist with geometry and quantity development, and use software tools to develop detailed structural designs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering.
• EIT certification or progression toward it is expected for career growth.
• Experience with bridge/structural design and related software packages.

Responsibilities

• Apply structural engineering and detailing techniques in bridge design.
• Work on projects including bridge, box culvert, and interchange design for highways and rail.
• Perform structural load calculations and assist with geometry/layout and quantity development.
• Select standard design procedures and develop structural details using specialized software.
• Participate in bridge inspections and assist with load calculations and quantity development.
• Perform other duties as needed.
