Job summary

HDR is seeking a Bridge Design Coordinator to apply structural engineering and detailing techniques across bridge projects, including steel, prestressed concrete, segmental and cable designs for highway and railway systems.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, familiarity with major software packages, and strong communication skills. EIT or pursuit thereof is preferred, with opportunities for career progression within HDR's employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Familiarity with the listed engineering software packages.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to obtain EIT if not already licensed.
• OpenBridge Modeler/InfraWorks/Civil3D experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply structural engineering and detailing techniques in bridge design.
• Work on highway and railway bridge projects including box culvert and interchange design.
• Perform structural load calculations and assist with geometry/layout and quantity development.
• Select standard bridge engineering procedures and develop structural details using specialized software.
• Participate in bridge inspection and related calculations.
• Perform other duties as needed.
