Job summary

HDR, an employee-owned firm, seeks a Bridge EIT in California to apply structural engineering and detailing techniques to bridge designs across highways and rail projects. You will collaborate with a diverse team to deliver safe, efficient mobility solutions.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, EIT, and experience with major design software; a Master's in Structural Engineering and a California PE license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering; EIT certificate.
• MS Office, MathCAD and AutoCAD experience.
• Familiarity with bridge design software: LEAP, FB-MultiPier, LPile, CSiBridge, RM Bridge, spColumn, STLBridgeLRFD, STLBridge.
• California PE license (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Apply structural engineering and detailing techniques to bridge designs.
• Work on bridge, retaining wall, box culvert and interchange design for highways and rail.
• Perform structural load calculations and assist with layout and quantity development.
• Develop structural details using standard design software.
• Participate in bridge inspection and related quantity development.
