Job summary

Stantec’s Bridges and Structures team seeks a Bridge Design Manager to lead engineering teams on major infrastructure projects. Columbia, SC is preferred with weekly travel to Columbia; Charleston or Greenville possible. Primary office-based role with travel required.

Responsibilities include design development, technical leadership, and coordination with clients and stakeholders. A PE license in SC or ability to obtain is required; 10+ years in bridge design desired.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required.
• PE license or ability to obtain in SC required.
• 10+ years in structural design of bridges/transportation structures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design development and project deliverables for bridges and related infrastructure.
• Provide technical assistance to resolve complex problems and support decision making.
• Oversee construction phase services on behalf of the Designer of Record.
• Lead design projects in Design/Bid/Build and Design/Build environments.
• Mentor bridge engineers and perform QA/QC on deliverables.
• Coordinate with clients including submittals, meetings, review comments, and invoicing.
