Job summary

Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering, LLC (ICE) invites a motivated Structural Design Intern to join a 12‑week program focused on bridge design. You will analyze structural components for bridges and related transportation structures, learning to apply AASHTO and state design requirements while gaining exposure to QA/QC and client communication.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Civil Engineering degree with a focus on structural/bridge design.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with MicroStation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead engineer in maintaining organized documentation/archives of design files, drawings, and submittals.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop designs for transportation structures (bridges, culverts, walls, etc.).
• Provide internal QA/QC for drawings, calculations, and specifications.
• Learn seismic design, load ratings, and review of construction submittals.
