Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Bridge Design & Structural Engineering Intern for our Boston, MA office. You will support bridge and structure design, load ratings, and inspections, learning directly from experienced engineers.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Civil Engineering degree (ABET-accredited) with interest in bridges, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team. Internship based in-person with mentorship and project exposure.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural focus preferred.
• Strong interest in bridge and structural engineering.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Familiarity with AASHTO/ASTM and DOT standards.

Responsibilities

• Support conventional and complex bridge and structure design, load ratings, and bridge inspections.
• Gain hands-on experience contributing to design, analysis, and field tasks while learning from experienced engineers.
