Job summary
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is seeking a Transportation Engineer Specialist to design bridges, culverts, and retaining walls in Franklin County. You will detail structures to KYTC and AASHTO LRFD standards, and review designs by other engineers.
Ideal candidate has four years of engineering experience beyond licensure and must be licensed as a Professional Engineer or able to obtain licensure in Kentucky within six months. Travel to job sites may be required.
Qualifications
- Must have four years of engineering experience in addition to that required for licensure as a Professional Engineer.
- A master's degree in engineering will substitute for one year of the required experience.
- Graduate work in engineering beyond a master's degree will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
- Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: NONE
