Job summary

Consor in Draper, Utah is seeking an Engineer in Training (EIT) to join our Structural / Bridge Engineering Group. The role blends office design with field exposure and mentored development on highway and pedestrian bridge projects.

You will gain hands-on experience under a senior engineer with 20+ years in transportation and project delivery, growing your technical skills in concrete and steel design, analysis, and production of plans and specifications.

Qualifications

2+ years of civil engineering experience with a focus on bridge design.
Demonstrated experience with bridge design principles and methodologies.
Knowledge of concrete and steel design.
Experience with Bentley Open Roads Designer (ORD) or MicroStation.
Beneficial software experience with Erickson Culvert, BGS, PGSuper, RISA, LEAP Bridge Suite.
EIT certification or ability to obtain within a reasonable time frame (pass FE exam).

Responsibilities

Work collaboratively with a team of engineers on a project.
Develop structural/bridge plans, specifications, estimates, and supporting documents.
Conduct conceptual engineering studies and support preliminary engineering and final design efforts.
Prepare technical reports and coordinate with project managers, local governments, and agencies like UDOT.
