Job summary

HDR, an employee-owned firm, is seeking a Bridge EIT/Designer to contribute to diverse bridge projects and structural designs in the Transportation Business Group. You will apply advanced engineering tools, perform load calculations, and support geometric layouts for highway and rail infrastructure.

Local candidates preferred with a strong collaboration mindset, keen attention to detail, and proficiency in industry software.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Structural/Civil Engineering or related engineering field.
Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
EIT certification or progression toward licensure is expected or supported.
Familiarity with the listed bridge engineering software packages and CAD tools.

Responsibilities

Apply structural engineering and detailing techniques in the development of bridge designs.
Work on projects that include bridge types (steel plate girder, prestressed concrete, segmental and cable) and related highway/railway structures.
Perform structural load calculations and assist with geometric layout and quantity development.
Select standard bridge engineering/design procedures and develop details using specialized software.
Participate in bridge inspection and assist with layout and quantity development.
Perform other duties as needed.
