Job summary

Stantec is hiring an Entry-Level Structural Bridge Engineer to join our Albany or Rochester, NY offices. You will design bridges and transportation structures under the guidance of experienced engineers, ensuring safety, durability, and functionality of critical assets.

You will gain hands-on experience with modeling, loading, codes, and fieldwork while collaborating with a dynamic team to advance infrastructure projects nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• EIT designation preferred or ability to obtain within six months from date of hire.
• 0-1+ years of experience; co-op/internship experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drawings, reports, structural calculations, and modeling for bridges and transportation infrastructure.
• Develop project quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
• Assist with fieldwork or site inspections as required.
• Interpret drawings, codes, and related materials.
• Support bridge load rating assessments.
• Use advanced structural analysis and design software.
• Perform engineering duties on projects under supervision.
