Job summary

CHA Consulting, Inc. seeks a Senior Bridge Structural Engineer to join our Bridge Team in Albany, Buffalo, Rochester, or Syracuse.

You will lead planning, design, and delivery of complex bridge replacement and rehabilitation projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clients to advance critical transportation infrastructure. This role requires a PE license, a bachelor’s in civil engineering, and 15+ years of progressive experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
15+ years of progressive engineering experience.
Strong QA/QC knowledge and engineering judgment.

Responsibilities

Lead all phases of bridge and structural projects from concept through completion, guiding cross-functional teams.
Provide expert consultation and resolve highly complex technical issues.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed project phases with engineering and project management teams.
Mentor and review the work of junior engineering staff.
Conduct studies and prepare reports for leadership, clients, and regulatory agencies.
Prepare technical proposals and external presentations showcasing CHA’s bridge solutions.
