Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an ambitious Rail Bridge EIT/Designer to contribute to bridge projects across steel plate girder, prestressed concrete, segmental and cable systems. You will perform load calculations, assist with geometry, and create detailed designs using advanced software tools.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, familiarity with major structural software, and strong teamwork. An EIT certification is preferred and a path to career progression is available within HDR’s employee-owned

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Experience in bridge/structural design.
Familiarity with engineering software packages listed in the ad.

Responsibilities

Apply structural engineering and detailing techniques in bridge designs.
Work on projects including various bridge types and interchanges.
Perform structural load calculations and assist with layout and quantity development.
Develop structural details using specialized software.
Participate in bridge inspection and assist with calculations and layout.
Perform other duties as needed.
