Job summary

The role emphasizes coordination, load calculations, and development of structural details, with focus on deep foundations and prestressed concrete design within a multi-disciplinary context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Experience in bridge/structural design including deep foundation and prestressed concrete design.
• familiarity with TxDOT bridge design manuals and software is preferred.
• Proficient with engineering software packages such as LEAP Bridge, FB-MultiPier, LPile, CSiBridge, RM Bridge or STLBridge.

Responsibilities

• Apply structural engineering and detailing techniques in bridge design development.
• Work on projects including bridges, box culverts, sign structures, walls and interchanges.
• Select standard procedures and develop structural details using specialized software.
• Perform structural load calculations and assist with layout and quantity development.
• Develop structural details using basic design and analysis software.
• Participate in bridge inspection and assist with quantity development.
