Job summary

HDR is seeking a Bridge Design Coordinator to join our Transportation Business Group. You will apply structural engineering and detailing techniques to bridge designs across highway and rail projects, performing load calculations and assisting with layout and quantity development.

You will use tools such as LEAP Bridge, MIDAS, and CSiBridge, collaborating with a cross-disciplinary team to deliver safe, cost-effective solutions and contribute to HDR’s employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level awareness of structural design principles.
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred and EIT/PE paths encouraged.
• Proficiency with structural software packages and CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Apply structural engineering methods to bridge designs.
• Work on highways, rail, and box culvert projects.
• Compute loads and assist with layout and quantity development.
• Develop structural details using specialized software.
• Participate in bridge inspections and design optimization.
