Job summary

Millstone Weber, LLC is seeking a Carpenter to join our team as an hourly-rated skilled craftsperson responsible for constructing concrete footings, slabs, walls, columns, bridge decks, and bent caps by building and erecting forms.

You will drive piling, assemble form systems, load materials, check grade stakes, and work outdoors in all weather, with safety as a priority and strong collaboration with crane operators and other trades.

Qualifications

• This position typically is not an entry-level job, as it requires demonstrable previous experience as a Bridge Carpenter.
• A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
• Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with job site supervisors and fellow employees.

Responsibilities

• Drive piling.
• Build job-specific wood forms and assemble commercially-available form systems.
• Erect and wreck all forms.
• Load and unload materials.
• Establish finish grade for concrete.
• Check and maintain grade stakes and other survey markings.
• Maintain equipment and tools.
• Enter confined spaces, as required.
• Operate a man-lift.
• Provide signaling and direction to Crane Operators.
• Must be able to walk on rebar.
• Perform incidental work items and duties included within other crafts.
