Job summary

We are currently seeking Bridge Carpenter to join Wagman Heavy Civil, Inc. team. Reporting to direct supervision, the Bridge Carpenter is responsible for carrying out carpentry related duties on bridge demo and rebuild.

This includes but is not limited to proficiently executing the building of forms, form systems, pouring concrete, cutting and measuring wood, abutments, overhangs. This position works along with the entire Project Team to plan and support the completion of assigned bridge

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Journeyman Bridge Carpenter
• Familiar with bridge construction, form systems, hand and power tools, and all other highway construction scopes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong prioritization and organizational skills; detail-oriented

Responsibilities

• Construct built-in-place or prefabricated wooden and/or metal forms for molding concrete structures.
• Saw lumber per blueprint dimensions using handsaw or power saw; nail lumber to form panels.
• Lift and handle built-in-place forms; assemble, erect and install prefabricated forms.
• Anchor and brace forms to fixed objects; use nails, bolts, anchor rods and cables.
• Build scaffolds, temporary shelters, overhang jacks and safety railings.
• Pour concrete in forms and decks; assist concrete finishers.
