Job summary

Primoris Heavy Civil is seeking a Bridge Carpenter to read blueprints, cut and assemble timber and concrete forms for bridge components on heavy civil projects. You will operate hand and power tools, erect scaffolding, and work with concrete, installing falsework and shoring as needed.

Collaborate with engineers and supervisors, maintain safety protocols, and perform rigging for the safe movement of materials in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of carpentry experience in heavy civil construction, bridge projects.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and drawings.
• Experience with concrete forming, pouring and finishing, plus safety regs.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, schematics, and construction docs to determine specs and materials.
• Cut, shape, and assemble timber, concrete forms for decks, pilings, abutments, and falsework.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Erect scaffolding and shoring for safe construction.
• Pour, finish, and cure concrete for foundations and structural elements.
• Install and remove falsework, formwork, and shoring systems.
• Perform rigging and signaling for safe material movement.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and report hazards.
