Job summary

Primoris Heavy Civil is seeking a Bridge Carpenter to perform skilled carpentry work on bridges and heavy civil structures. You will read blueprints, cut and shape wood and concrete forms, and install deck forms, piles, and structural supports.

Responsibilities include pouring and finishing concrete, building scaffolding, and coordinating with engineers. A 3–5 year track record and safe-work mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 3–5 years of bridge carpenter or similar heavy civil construction experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings; work in various weather.

Responsibilities

• Construct, erect, install, and repair wood, plywood, and concrete structures using carpentry tools.
• Read blueprints, sketches, and plans to determine dimensions and formwork.
• Measure, cut, and shape wood and concrete forms per specs.
• Build scaffolding and temporary supports for concrete work.
• Pour concrete, level, and finish to specification.
• Install bridge components including deck forms, piles, and supports.
• Perform rigging and signaling for hoisting materials.
• Inspect and maintain tools; comply with safety policies and OSHA rules.
• Collaborate with team, supervisors, and engineers to ensure project success.
