Job summary

Branch Civil is seeking a Bridge and Structural Carpenter to construct, erect, and repair forms and structures for bridges and related works, including concrete footings, slabs, walls, columns, and decks. The candidate will work with machines for layout, tying rebar, and other duties on heavy civil construction projects.

The role requires the ability to read drawings, follow directions, and work with minimal supervision while maintaining safety on site.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in bridge/structural carpentry.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings/project specs.
• Experience with formwork, rebar, concrete finishing.
• Knowledge of survey controls and bridge geometry.
• Familiarity with fall protection and safety protocols.
• Experience on large highway or bridge projects.

Responsibilities

• Construct and dismantle concrete forms for bridges and walls.
• Prepare construction layouts and follow supervisor directions.
• Set and tie steel rebar and erect temporary supports.
• Load/unload materials and operate power tools.
• Follow health and safety procedures and report violations.
• Travel to project sites as needed.
• Read blueprints and ensure alignment with specs.
