Job summary

The Middlesex Corporation is a nationally recognized leader in heavy civil construction. The Carpenter will construct or assemble concrete forming systems per blueprints and specifications for forming concrete structures, with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include interpreting plans, erecting formwork, using power tools, and maintaining equipment. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in bridge work, blueprint literacy, and knowledge of concrete placement and rigging.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets blueprints and building plans.
• Assembles and disassembles heavy form systems per layout.
• Operates concrete pumps, placement/finishing, and rebar installation knowledge is a plus.
• Knowledge of rigging and use of leveling tools (laser levels, transits).
• Possesses proper knowledge of using and maintaining power equipment.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all Safety policies and promote safety first across the team.
• Construct, erect, install, and repair structures, scaffolding and framework using hand and power tools.
• Interpret blueprints to determine dimensions and material requirements.
• Use and maintain power equipment as required for job duties.
• Ensure proper safety scaffolding and equipment is in place while performing duties.
• Secure and store tools, equipment and materials at the end of each day.
