Description

As a Bridge CAD technician, you will be responsible for supporting structural detailing efforts, plan sheet development, and potentially 3D bridge modeling for multi-discipline transportation projects. Projects will include single- and multi-span bridges, complex retaining walls, and require close coordination with Bridge Engineers.

$30.00 - $40.00 / hour

Core Responsibilities:

• Be enthusiastic, dedicated, and self-disciplined to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Prioritize work to meet various project requests and deadlines, answering to engineers
• Produce accurate output with a keen eye for aesthetics
• Manage project data files from various sources
• Communicate proactively and effectively with colleagues and clients, both in-person and remotely
• Manage workspaces and develop plan sets in ORD, including sheet creation and plan set development

Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:

• 2 to 5 years of Computer Aided Drafting experience
• Associates degree or equivalent technical degree
• Knowledge of state DOT standards is a plus, but not required
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings; think 3-dimensionally
• Ability to work independently with multiple tasks and priorities
• Professional, creative, and team-focused attitude
• Enthusiastic, dedicated, and self-disciplined for fast-paced work
