Horrocks is seeking a Structures CAD Technician to join our progressive, employee-focused, regional multidisciplinary engineering firm.

What are the core responsibilities for the role?
- Prepare detailed structural drawings and construction documents for heavy civil and municipal projects
- Develop plans, sections, details, and schedules for concrete vaults, culverts, storage tanks, retaining walls, foundations, and other structural components
- Draft structural components for roadway, site civil, federal, and municipal projects
- Collaborate with structural engineers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver accurate and timely PS&E contract documents
- Assist with quantity takeoffs and preparation of cost estimates
- Revise drawings based on engineer markups and internal QA/QC reviews
- Maintain drawing standards and ensure compliance with company and client CAD standards
- Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure proper integration of structural elements
- Assist in building a strong regional presence for the firm in transportation and structural engineering
- Structures lead for smaller projects, coordinating staff and design efforts
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies
- Associate's degree or technical certification in Drafting, CAD Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3 to 7 years of experience in structural or civil drafting preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation required
- Experience with Bentley software (OpenRoads, OpenBridge, STAAD models for drafting integration) a plus
- Familiarity with structural detailing for concrete and steel components
- Understanding of civil and structural construction plans and specifications
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Willingness to work on projects locally or in workshare with other offices; limited travel (<10%)
